Product Description:

Real Steel Background

The XIPHOS 9 is Battle Arms Development's entry into the pistol-calibre carbine class ? a 9mm rifle built on AR-pattern ergonomics that takes the familiar manual of arms of an AR-15 and pairs it with the mild recoil and low running cost of a pistol cartridge. Battle Arms Development built its reputation on precision-machined AR components, particularly ambidextrous controls and the battery-assist devices that carry the company's name, before moving into complete firearms, and the XIPHOS line reflects that background in its emphasis on ambidextrous operation and clean, purposeful design. Pistol-calibre carbines have become one of the fastest-growing categories in modern shooting: a rifle chambered for a handgun round recoils far less than an intermediate-calibre carbine, keeps ammunition cheap and widely available, and can be used on indoor ranges that prohibit rifle cartridges, all while giving the shooter the same controls, sighting options, and accessory ecosystem as a standard AR. For competitors in practical shooting disciplines, for training, and for anyone who wants a soft-shooting rifle for close-range work, the PCC concept has proven remarkably popular, and a 9mm AR like the XIPHOS combines the handling and familiarity of a rifle with the economy of a handgun round.

Product Details

RWA, working in collaboration with Battle Arms Development, brings the XIPHOS into the gas blowback world as a limited edition GBB rifle carrying officially licensed B.A.D. trademarks and rollmarks. Rather than an unlicensed approximation, this limited-run piece reproduces the XIPHOS design aesthetic with genuine factory markings, and RWA backs it with a specification built around steel controls and a CNC aluminium bolt carrier.

Externally, the rifle is built around a Battle Arms Workhorse M-LOK free float handguard measuring 170mm and engraved with the "B.A.D" marking, giving the front end a slim, modern profile with modular slot mounting for accessories. A metal 185mm outer barrel finished with a 45mm muzzle brake completes the compact proportions, and the metal Battle Arms Development receiver carries the engraved "BATTLE ARMS" marking that anchors the licensed detailing. Furniture pairs a polymer Battle Arms Development ATG adjustable tactical pistol grip ? adjustable so the shooter can set the grip to suit their hand ? with a polymer B5 Systems Bravo stock fitted with a rubber stock pad, sling sockets on both sides, and a metal five-position stock pipe. Feeding comes from a metal 50-round magazine with a polymer magazine base, giving the rifle generous capacity for a pistol-calibre platform.

The control set is executed in steel: a steel Battle Arms bolt catch, a steel ambidextrous fire selector, a steel curved trigger, steel receiver pins, and a steel XIPHOS magazine release, joined by a metal charging handle and a metal end plate with a sling socket mounted at the rear of the receiver. A CNC aluminium bolt carrier completes the action assembly, pairing a realistic machined finish with the reduced reciprocating mass that benefits a gas blowback cycle.

Internally, the rifle runs a V-style internal GBB system, together with an accessible, adjustable top-down centre hop-up system that gives audible click adjustments ? so backspin can be tuned precisely and repeatably without dismantling the rifle and without losing the setting once it is dialled in. The combination of officially licensed B.A.D. design and markings, an all-steel control set, a CNC aluminium bolt carrier, and a genuinely user-friendly hop-up makes the RWA XIPHOS a distinctive limited edition for collectors and players who want something clearly different from the usual AR-pattern offerings.
