The Geissele MK16 M4 URG-I (Upper Receiver Group - Improved) is a specialized upper receiver for the AR-15/M4 platform. Developed from a US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) contract project, it was designed to modernize the M4A1 for elite units like the Army Rangers and Special Forces. Its core purpose is to deliver significant improvements in accuracy, reliability, and recoil management.
At its heart is the Geissele Super Modular Rail MK16 handguard. USASOC adopted the 13.5" MK16 for the URG-I program, and it has become the rifle's defining visual feature. The MK16 is a free-float handguard known for its rigidity and resistance to rotation. While the top features a full-length Picatinny rail, the sides and bottom utilize the M-LOK system, providing extensive and flexible options for mounting accessories like grips, lights, and lasers.

About VFC VR16 URG-I 11.5 inch EVO GBB Airsoft

VFC has sincerely crafted this airsoft version of the rifle. In the realm of real firearms, this model entered service in 2018 and was initially used primarily by units under the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), including the Green Berets, the 75th Ranger Regiment, Marine Corps special operations forces such as MARSOC and Force Reconnaissance, as well as units under the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), particularly PJs and CCTs, along with some U.S. law enforcement special units like SWAT and HRT. Due to its relatively low recoil, it offers greater accuracy during rapid successive shots compared to other rifles, making it a highly reliable weapon in the real steel world.
This VFC VR16 URG-I 11.5-inch EVO GBB airsoft gun features a metal receiver with a Picatinny rail on top, a polymer pistol grip, a metal 275mm URGI MK16 M-Lok system handguard with a Picatinny rail on top, a metal 280mm outer barrel with a steel 70mm four-prong muzzle brake, a metal dummy gas block with a gas tube, a polymer B5 System stock (with sling sockets on both sides and a rubber stock pad) and a 5-position stock tube, a 30-round capacity VFC V3 VMAG magazine, and various small metal components including a metal magazine release, a metal charging handle, a metal fire selector, a steel bolt catch and metal trigger, a metal trigger guard, a steel forward assist, a steel sling hook (located at the rear of the receiver), a metal bolt, and a metal dust cover. Internally, it incorporates the new "EVO" Hop-Up System, the VFC V3 valve knocker design, and VFC V3 GBB system internal components.
