About Real HK33

The Heckler & Koch HK33 is a 5.56mm assault rifle developed by the German company Heckler & Koch in the 1960s. It was designed as a scaled-down version of H&K?s successful G3 battle rifle, modified to fire the smaller, lighter NATO-standard 5.56?45mm cartridge rather than the full-power 7.62mm round of its predecessor. This made the HK33 a more controllable firearm suitable for mechanized infantry, police, and special operations roles.
The rifle operates on H&K?s signature roller-delayed blowback system. Unlike gas-operated designs, the bolt is not mechanically locked; instead, a set of rollers briefly delays the bolt?s rearward movement until chamber pressures drop to a safe level. To aid extraction during this process, the barrel features a fluted chamber that allows propellant gases to flow around the cartridge case, preventing it from sticking. This system, combined with high-quality steel construction and a modular design, gave the HK33 a reputation for robustness and reliability.
Perhaps the most compact member of the family was the HK53, an ultra-short variant that resembled a submachine gun but retained the 5.56mm rifle cartridge, making it popular with special forces and vehicle crews. 

About Umarex (VFC) HK33 GBB Airsoft Rifle

VFC has faithfully replicated this classic airsoft version of the firearm. In the realm of real steel, the HK33 has been in production and service since 1968. It is a classic German-made firearm from the post-World War II era, and to this day, it remains in production. Its presence spans 27 countries worldwide, primarily used by military personnel and special forces. With its moderate length, this rifle is well-suited for use in narrow alleyways, streets, or indoor environments. When used by special forces inside armored vehicles, it does not impede the limited space within. Additionally, it is a firearm that remains unaffected by dust, debris, or humidity, making it highly suitable for operations in the humid, sandy environments of Southeast Asia.
This Umarex (VFC) HK33 GBB Airsoft Rifle features a polymer grip assembly (with the fire selector offering 0/1/25-round shooting modes), and the pistol grip is ergonomically shaped for enhanced comfort. It comes with a metal receiver equipped with an integrated rear iron sight (engraved with "HK33" markings), a polymer 285mm handguard, a metal 110mm outer barrel with a 55mm muzzle brake, and a metal 380mm inner barrel (with 300mm of the inner barrel covered by the handguard and the front 70mm housed within the outer barrel). The rifle also includes a polymer 265mm HK33 fixed stock (with a steel sling hook on the left side), a metal 30-round HK33 magazine, and a variety of small metal components such as a steel fire selector, steel trigger, steel magazine release, steel cocking handle (covered with rubber), and a steel front sight.
Internally, it features a newly designed bolt set for enhanced performance and consistency, a new magazine-fire stop cut-off design, a heavy recoil buffer and recoil spring assembly, and a new hop-up adjustment system.
