Product Description:
The
Glock 18C was developed in response to a request from the Austrian
counter-terrorist team EKO COBRA in the mid-1980s. They desired a
compact sidearm with select-fire capability, allowing for more tactical
options. Additionally, the inclusion of a 50-round high-capacity
magazine meant that it could function as a viable primary weapon when
equipped with a carbine kit.
The Umarex (Elite Force) Glock 18C airsoft pistol has gained
significant popularity as one of the leading gas blowback pistols in the
airsoft community. It holds full licensing from Umarex (Elite Force)
and Glock, enabling it to be fired in both semi-auto and full-auto modes
at an impressive rate of approximately 1200 rounds per minute. The
rapid rate of fire allows for quick magazine emptying in a matter of
seconds. If the extended 50-round magazine proves cumbersome for use as a
backup weapon in a holster, it's worth noting that standard-sized Glock
17 magazines fit the Glock 18C seamlessly. Similarly, the extended
magazine designed for the Glock 18C is compatible with the Glock 17 and
other semi-auto Glock models. Remarkably, the Glock 18C airsoft pistol
shares exactly the same dimensions as the airsoft Glock 17, effectively
making it a full-auto version of the Glock 17. Magazine changes are
facilitated by pressing the magazine release button on the textured grip
with the thumb, causing the metal magazine to drop freely. To enhance
durability and stability during full-auto shooting, Umarex (Elite Force)
has incorporated the same 2-stage recoil spring system found in the
Glock 17 Gen 4 pistol. This system enables a faster initial cycle, with
high tension building as the slide reaches the rear-most position,
accelerating the return of the slide to the battery position and
resulting in a snappier shooting experience. The front and rear iron
sights feature white markings to aid quick aiming in low-light
conditions. The trigger pull is firm, with a short take-up and a
distinct trigger wall that facilitates precise shots.
Similar to other gas blowback airsoft pistols from Umarex (Elite
Force) Glock lineup, this Glock 18C model boasts a full metal slide that
cycles with each shot, replicating the recoil impulse of a real Glock.
The slide moves fully backward to chamber the next round as it returns
forward, faithfully emulating the actions of an actual Glock pistol. The
ported outer barrel is also constructed from sturdy metal. The Glock
18C is adorned with all the authentic markings, including Glock
trademarks and realistic 9x19 engravings. Notably, this version does not
bear the "Airsoft Only" and "Caliber 6mm" markings typically found on
American and European domestic market models, contributing to its
heightened realism. Firing mode selection is easily achieved by turning
the switch located on the rear of the slide. True to the design of the
genuine Glock 18C, there is no safety lever, as the integrated trigger
safety effectively prevents accidental firing. The front lower frame of
the pistol features an accessory rail, allowing for the attachment of
flashlights and laser accessories. Additionally, users have the option
to upgrade to an aftermarket threaded barrel, enabling the installation
of a suppressor. Field stripping the Glock 18C airsoft pistol mirrors
the process of its real counterpart. By removing the magazine, pulling
down on the disassembly switch situated in the middle of the lower
frame, pulling the slide back, and then pushing it forward and off the
lower frame, users gain access to the hop-up adjustment knobs. These
knobs are instrumental in adding backspin to the BBs, facilitating
extended flight distances. The hop-up is optimized for BBs weighing
between 0.2g and 0.3g, ensuring optimal performance.
The Glock 18C airsoft pistol's popularity stems not only from the
reputation of Glock pistols as some of the most recognizable firearms
globally but also from its inherent durability and reliability. The
option for overwhelming firepower, particularly when engaged in
full-auto mode, proves advantageous when a primary rifle malfunctions.
If you intend to utilize this pistol as your primary weapon, it is
advisable to acquire additional magazines as spares, given the high rate
of fire that can deplete ammunition rapidly.
To achieve optimal performance, the airsoft Glock 18C is designed to utilize Green Gas.
