The Tanaka S&W Performance Center M&P R8 5-inch Heavy Weight Ver. 2 Gas Revolver is a faithful replica of the real steel R8. This R8 is made with high-quality heavy-weight polymers and finished in such a way that it is almost indistinguishable from a full metal version.
This particular 5-inch variant of the R8 features top and bottom Picatinny rails, allowing users to attach optics, weapon lights, lasers, and other accessories to the revolver. The top Picatinny rails can be attached and detached simply by screwing and unscrewing 4 screws. Given its 5-inch barrel, this is likely the version used in popular video games like CS: GO and CS 2.
This gas revolver utilizes the N Frame style frame and boasts a large capacity of 16 rounds, significantly more than the 11-12 round capacity found on Tanaka's K frame gas revolver offerings.
