Real Steel Background

The Korth Sky Marshal is one of the most distinctive concealed-carry revolvers ever produced, born from the German workshop of Korth the manufacturer widely regarded as the "Rolls-Royce of revolvers," founded in 1954 in Ratzeburg by master gunsmith Willi Korth. Where most revolver makers chased production volume, Korth pursued perfection, machining every component from billet and assembling each gun start-to-finish by a single gunsmith, earning a reputation for actions that work "like a fine Swiss watch." When Korth unveiled the Sky Marshal at SHOT Show 2015, it broke every convention of the snub-nose category: it was chambered in 9mm Luger the same round carried in Glocks and SIGs rather than the traditional .38 Special, and it ditched the moon clips that 9mm revolvers typically depend on, replacing them with a proprietary ejection system of six retracting fingers that reach out to grab the rimless cartridge cases as the ejector rod is pressed. The name itself honours the plainclothes sky marshals and undercover officers who needed a gun that could disappear into a pocket yet still hit with modern service-calibre stopping power.

At just over 5 inches long and about 1.2 pounds, the Sky Marshal packed a 2-inch polygon barrel, an aluminium frame with hard-coated finish, a six-shot cylinder, a right-side Picatinny rail for a light or laser, and an adjustable rear sight all wrapped in an angular, snag-free silhouette that minimised snagging on clothing. Korth even produced a Nighthawk Custom collaboration, a limited run of seventy-seven units commissioned by a special European police unit investigating organised crime, each with a redesigned hammer enclosure and Hogue Monogrip for better concealment. Discontinued after a short production run, the real Sky Marshal gained a cult following for its unique looks, its rare 9mm chambering, and its unmistakably premium German action which is exactly why RWA and ARES chose it as the platform for a faithful airsoft reproduction that lets collectors and skirmishers finally own this legend.

Product Details

The RWA x ARES Korth Sky Marshal is a joint production by RWA and ARES, fully licensed by KORTH, faithfully reproducing the unusual architecture of the real gun. Unlike a conventional revolver where the frame and the outer barrel are two separate components joined into one pistol, the Sky Marshal integrates the barrel directly into the front half of the frame in a monoblock design the gun appears to have no outer barrel at all, because the barrel is hidden inside the frame itself. This clever construction shrinks the overall size of the weapon considerably, giving it that compact, pocket-friendly silhouette that made the original a favourite of plainclothes officers. The metal frame carries the authentic KORTH marking on the left side and "Korth Germany Waffenfabrik" on the right, while the barrel is engraved "Sky Marshal" on its left flank and fitted with a 45mm Picatinny rail on the right for mounting micro weapon lights and laser modules at a 90-degree angle.

The metal cylinder rotates around a steel ejector rod and accepts six dummy cartridges, each a proper 1:1-scale replica of a 9mm hollow-point shell that holds a single 6mm BB, for six shots per cylinder load. The metal lever mechanism at the front of the cylinder bears the engraved "9mm Luger" marking, echoing the real gun's uncommon chambering, and the cylinder release, silver-finish curved trigger, and skeletonised silver hammer are all crafted from metal for an authentic look and feel. The grip is wrapped in a rubber, non-slip textured cover that opens to reveal the chamber for a 12g CO2 capsule, making this a true CO2-powered revolver built on the same universal CO2 engine as the ARES 686 meaning ARES 686 moon clips and 9mm shells are fully compatible for fast reloads on the skirmish field.

The fire control is where this replica truly shines. Each pull of the trigger rotates the cylinder exactly one click while producing a crisp metallic clack with a ringing echo rarely heard in other airsoft revolvers a sensation that makes it feel uncannily like the real thing. The steel inner barrel works in tandem with an adjustable TDC (Top Down Centred) hop-up system, with the adjustment dial located at the top of the window directly above the barrel, letting users dial in precise backspin for heavier BBs such as 0.30g to 0.40g and beyond for consistent outdoor performance at up to roughly 40 metres. The metal front sight pairs with a fully adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation, and the entire gun ships in a 350 x 190 x 65mm hard gun case. True to its name, the Sky Marshal's compact size makes it small enough to slip into a jacket or trouser pocket easy to conceal, easy to carry, and exactly why real-world plainclothes officers carried this revolver.
