Product Description:

Real Steel Background

The MP9 is a compact 9mm submachine gun originally developed by Steyyrr Mannlicheerr of Austria as the TMP (Tactical Machine Pistol) in the late 1980s, designed to deliver controllable full-auto firepower in a package barely larger than a service pistol. When Steyr discontinued the TMP line in the early 2000s, Swiss defense manufacturer Br ggger & Th oomet (BB -&T) acquired the design rights, refined the platform, and relaunched it in 2001 as the MP9 ? incorporating significant upgrades including an integrated top picatinny rail for optics, a quick-detach tri-lug suppressor mounting system, and a side-folding stock for enhanced versatility. The MP9 fires 9x19mm Parabellum and operates from a conventional blowback mechanism with a rotating barrel lock, selectable between semi-automatic and fully automatic fire. It has been adopted by Swiss military and police forces as well as various special operations and counter-terrorism units worldwide who value its combination of extreme compactness, suppressor-ready capability, and selective-fire flexibility. The MP IX designation represents a further refined iteration of the platform. The MP9's distinctive angular polymer lower receiver, integrated foregrip, and unmistakable suppressor profile have made it a recognizable fixture in modern tactical photography and media, emblematic of elite close-protection and counter-terror operations.

Product Details

The Maruyama MP9 (MP IX) GBB Airsoft SMG faithfully reproduces the angular and purposeful silhouette of the real submachine gun through a polymer upper and lower receiver construction. The upper receiver features an integrated picatinny top rail running its full length, supplemented by a removable 8-slot picatinny rail on the right side for mounting lights, lasers, or other accessories. The lower receiver incorporates a built-in foregrip with an integrated handstop at the front, providing a comfortable and secure anchor point for the support hand during rapid fire. A steel barrel adapter at the muzzle interfaces with the included metal tri-lug quick-detach MP9/TP9 style suppressor, which measures 170mm in length and carries a picatinny rail along its underside for additional accessory attachment, allowing the user to mount a vertical grip or light directly to the suppressor body. A polymer 245mm side-folding stock provides shouldered shooting stability and can be deployed or stowed to the side for transport or close-quarters maneuverability.

Power is supplied by a polymer gas magazine with a 45-round loading capacity, engineered with a distinctive dual-finish design ? the left, right, and rear surfaces carry realistic printed ammunition markings that replicate the visual appearance of loaded rounds within a magazine body, while the front face is left semi-transparent, allowing the user to visually monitor the remaining BB pellet count at a glance during sustained engagement. The magazine's visual design enhances the overall realism of the platform while serving a practical function for the shooter.

External controls are manufactured from polymer for weight reduction and feature full ambidextrous implementation ? including an ambidextrous charging handle, an ambidextrous fire selector offering semi-automatic, fully automatic, and safety positions, and an ambidextrous magazine release ? ensuring seamless operation regardless of handedness. The polymer trigger incorporates an integrated trigger safety blade that prevents accidental discharge if the trigger is snagged or brushed. A steel bolt catch provides positive bolt hold-open functionality on an empty magazine. Internally, the system is reinforced with steel components throughout the critical stress areas for long-term durability, and an adjustable hop-up is conveniently located in the middle of the top picatinny rail, accessible without removing the optic mount, allowing precise trajectory tuning for varying engagement distances and BB weights using standard tools.
