About Real MCX Virtus

The MCX Virtus is a modular rifle introduced in 2017 as an evolution of the original MCX. It uses a short?stroke gas piston system instead of the direct impingement found on a standard AR?15, which helps it run cleaner, cooler, and more reliably when a suppressor is attached. Because the operating system does not require a buffer tube, the Virtus has a folding and telescoping stock that allows the rifle to be fired even when folded?something a traditional AR cannot do. The platform is highly modular: you can swap barrels at home to change both length and caliber, most commonly 5.56 NATO and .300 Blackout, and the gas block has two settings to accommodate suppressed or unsuppressed shooting. The controls are fully ambidextrous, and the rifle was designed for a long service life. It is heavier than a typical AR, weighing about 7.9 pounds for the 16?inch Patrol model. There is also a PCP air rifle version that shares the same name and appearance but is a separate product.

This E&C MCX Virtus Airsoft AEG Rifle features a metal Tan Color receiver with a Picatinny rail on top, a metal 258mm M-LOK system Tan Color handguard with sling sockets on both sides, a metal 260mm outer barrel with a metal 60mm three-prong muzzle brake (14mm CCW), a polymer Tan Color pistol grip, a polymer MPX/MCX style five-position retractable Tan Color stock (with sling sockets on both sides) paired with a steel foldable stock adapter, and a polymer magazine with a 120-round capacity. The rifle also includes small metal components such as a metal trigger, metal ambidextrous magazine release, metal ambidextrous fire selector, metal ambidextrous bolt catch, metal charging handle, and metal flip-up front and rear sights.
Internally, it is equipped with a new E&C 2.0 V2 8mm bearing gearbox, a quick-change spring variant that allows for convenient spring changes to meet field requirements, an adjustable hop-up, and is powered by a compact Tamiya Li-Po battery (the battery compartment is located in the handguard; you may also use a PEQ battery box mounted on the handguard to store the battery).
