Product Description:
The SIG Sauer MCX Rattler is an ultra?compact, modular firearm
developed as a personal defense weapon for elite military operators who
require rifle?caliber power in a package small enough to be concealed or
stored inside a vehicle. It was created in response to a request from
U.S. Special Operations Command for a weapon significantly smaller than a
standard M4.
When it was introduced, SIG billed the Rattler as the
world?s smallest rifle, and with its ultra?thin folding stock collapsed
the total length measures less than seventeen inches?small enough to fit
inside a small backpack or briefcase. The extreme compactness is made
possible by eliminating the buffer tube found on traditional AR?15
designs; instead the Rattler uses an internal recoil system that allows
the stock to fold and the gun to be fired even when the stock is in the
folded position.
E&C has faithfully replicated this AEG
Airsoft version of the rifle. In the realm of real firearms, this model
was first introduced in 2017 and remains in production to this day. Its
compact length makes it highly suitable for use in narrow alleyways,
streets, or indoor environments. When used by special forces inside
armored vehicles, its design does not impede the cramped interior space.
Additionally, its foldable stock allows for easier concealment, making
it ideal for counter-terrorism and hostage rescue operations. This rifle
is also utilized by special forces units across five countries?namely
the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Ukraine, and the
Netherlands.
The E&C MCX Rattle Airsoft AEG Rifle features a
metal receiver with a Picatinny rail on top, a metal 145mm M-LOK system
handguard with sling sockets on both sides, a metal 140mm outer barrel
with a metal 60mm three-prong muzzle brake (14mm CCW), a polymer pistol
grip, a metal 200mm MCX stock with a rubber buttpad (featuring sling
sockets on both sides) paired with a steel foldable stock adapter, and a
polymer magazine with a 120-round capacity. The rifle also incorporates
small metal components, including a metal trigger, ambidextrous metal
magazine release, ambidextrous metal fire selector, ambidextrous metal
bolt catch, metal charging handle, and metal flip-up front and rear
sights.
Internally, it is equipped with a new E&C 2.0 V2 8mm
bearing gearbox and a quick-change spring variant, allowing for
convenient spring changes to meet field requirements. It also features
an adjustable hop-up and is powered by a compact Tamiya Li-Po battery,
with the battery compartment located in the handguard. Alternatively, a
PEQ battery box can be mounted on the handguard to house the battery.
In
summary, this is a replica of a firearm still in active service, making
it highly suitable for professional collectors to own and appreciate,
while also serving as an excellent choice for airsoft competitions or
recreational gameplay.
