The LaRue OBR (Optimized Battle Rifle) is a premium semi-automatic precision rifle from LaRue Tactical, an AR-10 pattern platform originally launched around 2010-2011 and best known in 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester), with variants in 5.56x45mm NATO. It earned a strong reputation for exceptional out-of-the-box accuracy?often sub-MOA with match ammunition?due to its innovative true free-floating barrel design (no contact with the handguard at any point), monolithic upper receiver with integrated rail (typically canted for long-range optics), and extremely rugged billet 7075-T6 aluminum construction that ensures durability and consistency even after high round counts with minimal maintenance.
The original heavier OBR focused on combining battle-rifle reliability with sniper-level precision, suiting designated marksman, long-range, or tactical roles. It evolved into lighter configurations, with the PredatOBR emerging as the current flagship hybrid: it merges the OBR's core accuracy and modularity with reduced weight for better handling, while retaining features like quick-detach handguards for easy barrel swaps (with near-zero POI shift, often 0.0 to 0.5 MOA), LW-50 stainless steel barrels, LaRue PST gas port selector, and LaRue MBT trigger.

E&C proudly presents this AEG Airsoft version of the LaRue OBR rifle. In the realm of firearms, this model was originally designed and brought to market in 2009, primarily for civilian use. However, its exceptional accuracy drew the attention of the U.S. military, leading to the procurement of a number of LaRue OBR rifles. These were mainly issued to the elite Delta Force (1st SFOD-D). This specific model, the E&C LaRue SR25 OBR DMR Airsoft AEG (EC909 QC 2.0 Gearbox), features a metal receiver with engraved realistic markings and a Picatinny rail on top. It is equipped with a metal 368mm LaRue TAC-style handguard, a metal 395mm outer barrel, a metal 74mm muzzle brake, a polymer pistol grip, and a polymer crane stock with a 6-position metal stock pipe and rubber stock pad. The M110 Style magazine is a steel housing unit with a 100-round loading capacity. Additional details include numerous small metal components such as the trigger, magazine release, fire selector, bolt catch, charging handle, and flip-up front and rear sights. Internally, the rifle utilizes the new E&C 2.0 V2 Gearbox, which allows easier access to gearbox internals for upgrades.
