Are VFC airsoft guns any good?

VFC airsoft guns are excellent purchases with a consistent history of top quality airsoft electric and gas guns that are both excellent performers but also have very well built externals. Their lineup includes the top quality VFC Avalon series and VFC KAC SR15 AEGs as well as their excellent GBBRs such as the VFC MK16 URGI Carbine and the VFC KAC SR-25 MK11 MOD0. These top quality externals by VFC with their attention to realistic detail have resulted in VFC becoming the manufacturer of choice for many license holders of real steel guns who trust VFC’s craftsmanship to make quality replicas of their guns, chief amongst these are Umarex who hold the rights to Heckler and Koch, FN and various other licenses.

Is a VFC airsoft gun a good starting build?

While VFC guns are lauded for their top quality externals and their AEGs known for their excellent shooting performance, this does come at a significant monetary cost in that VFC guns will cost a significant amount especially for a new player. For example, the lowest cost VFC rifle the VFC VR16 Fighter CQB MK2 costs $222 but is largely an exception as most of their rifles will cost in excess of $300. This does not include licensed VFC guns under the Umarex brand like the Umarex VFC HK416 M27 IAR which costs $430 to the Umarex VFC G28 GBBR which costs a whopping $855! We thus recommend newer players who might not be fully into the hobby to try out a more affordable model before upgrading their collection to something as expensive as VFC.

What does VFC mean in airsoft?

VFC is shorthand for Vega Force Company, however it is generally mostly known to people both inside the industry and out as VFC. Naturally this unique name translates to a worldwide reputation for making airsoft replicas with high quality externals with realistic internals resulting in VFC being the Tier 1 manufacturer for some of the best real steel gun licenses in airsoft such as H&K, SIG and FN amongst others.

What is the relationship between VFC and Umarex?

VFC’s reputation for top quality attention to realistic detail has resulted in VFC becoming the manufacturer of choice for many license holders of real steel firearms who trust VFC’s craftsmanship to make quality airsoft replicas of their guns. Chief amongst these license holders is Umarex who hold the rights to Heckler and Koch, FN, Glock and outright own Carl Walther. This collaboration has resulted in VFC being the OEM for numerous Umarex GBBRs such as the Umarex VFC HK416 M27 IAR, Umarex VFC H&K G3A3 and Umarex VFC UMP45 DX, in addition VFC also make several gas blowback pistols under Umarex such as the Umarex VFC Walther PPQ M2, Umarex VFC H&K VP9 and the Umarex VFC Glock 19 Gen 4.
