Is Umarex A Good Brand?

Umarex is an excellent airsoft brand especially if you are a sticker for authentic markings and the legitimacy that comes with a fully licensed gun. The licensing is especially notable as Umarex holds some of the most valuable licenses in the industry including the rights to Beretta, Browning, Colt, GLOCK, Heckler & Koch, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, IWI and Carl Walther. This allows for all Umarex guns to have 1:1 authentic markings and trademarks as their real life equivalents giving them a degree of unsurpassed authenticity compared to other replicas.

Are Umarex Guns Good?

Umarex guns are excellent purchases, their holding of firearm licenses means that Umarex is able to set a high bar for the quality for the guns sold under their name. Guns like the Umarex HK416, and Umarex HK417 made by VFC feature an unparalleled level of realism, external build quality and shooting performance combined with authentic trademarks and markings. This extends to Umarex pistols too such as the Umarex Glock 17 Gen 3 CNC Steel Slide GBB airsoft gun made by GHK, this GHK made Glock is exceptional in that it is the first airsoft Glock to feature a realistic internal striker firing mechanism as opposed to the unrealistic internal hammers of every other airsoft glock. This allows the Umarex Glock to be disassembled in a highly realistic manner giving you an unparallel level of immersion when stripping and cleaning it.

Where is Umarex Made?

Umarex do not themselves manufacture airsoft guns, they are simply the license holder for several real steel brands like Beretta, Browning, Colt, GLOCK, Heckler & Koch, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, IWI and Carl Walther then commission other airsoft gun manufacturers to make the guns to their specifications under the Umarex brand. As such, to answer the question Umarex guns are actually made by several different high end manufacturers such as VFC, KWA, Wingun and GHK to bring you the truly high quality and authentic licensed guns you all love.

Can Umarex Glock Pistol Be Fired Without BBs?

Yes! All Umarex GBB Glocks can be dry fired without BBs simply by gassing up a magazine, inserting it into the gun and firing while holding down the slide release, allowing you to experience the realistic firing action in complete safety.

Is Umarex and Elite Force The Same?

Yes! Elite Force is a subsidiary brand of Umarex USA and is thus responsible for the airsoft sales of Umarex’s guns within the United States. Elite Force not only sell airsoft guns but a wide variety of dart and other shooting toys within their purview.

Does Umarex Make Walther?

Kind of, Umarex don’t necessarily make Walthers in that Umarex is actually the parent company of Carl Walther which was acquired by Umarex in 1993. Walther still continues to manufacture under the Walther name in its original factory in Ulm and Arnsberg but the acquisition of the company means that the airsoft manufacturing license of the Walther brand is held by UImarex by default and as such is one of the many licensed airsoft brands that Umarex sells.

Umarex Glock orange tip removal

We do not suggest that you remove the orange tip of your airsoft gun if the gun is delivered to you with one as it could be in violation of your local laws as it runs the risk that law enforcement could accidentally mistake your airsoft gun for that of a real firearm which could potentially place you in an extremely dangerous position.
