About Real MAXIM Defense PDX 

The MAXIM Defense PDX is a compact firearm engineered to deliver rifle-caliber power from a platform roughly the size of a submachine gun. It was originally developed for U.S. Special Operations Command, meaning its design is driven by military personnel operating in confined spaces like vehicles and urban environments where maneuverability is critical.
The weapon achieves an overall length of just 18.75 inches through two key features. The first is a short 5.5-inch barrel. The second is the patented SCW stock system, which uses a low-profile cradle to collapse to only four inches. This design completely eliminates the protruding buffer tube found on standard AR platforms, resulting in a firearm that is exceptionally easy to handle in tight quarters.
A barrel this short presents engineering challenges regarding reliability, noise, and flash. To solve these, the PDX incorporates the HATEBRAKE muzzle device. This component increases back pressure to ensure reliable cycling while redirecting concussion and noise forward away from the shooter, making the weapon safer and more controllable in enclosed environments.

About VFC MAXIM Defense PDX SBR GBB Airsoft Rifle (TAN)

VFC has meticulously recreated the MAXIM Defense PDX Rifle in airsoft form, faithfully replicating a platform that first made its debut in 2020. Designed specifically for special forces units, the real-steel version represents one of the most modern and cutting-edge firearms on the market, and VFC has captured every aspect of its innovative design.
This VFC MAXIM Defense PDX SBR Gas Blowback Rifle features a metal lower receiver, precisely engraved with the distinctive "MDX" logo and the full "MAXIM DEFENSE INDUSTRIES" marking. It is paired with a metal upper receiver, which bears the appropriate "5.56x45" caliber engraving. The build is centred around a metal 165mm M-Lok system handguard, proudly engraved with the "MAXIM DEFENSE" marking and equipped with sling sockets on both sides. Both the handguard and the receiver feature a continuous top 20mm Picatinny rail, providing ample space to mount your preferred red dot sight, scope, or PEQ laser unit.
The barrel assembly is equally detailed, consisting of a metal 55mm hatebrake muzzle brake and a metal 125mm outer barrel fitted with a dummy gas block. At the rear, the rifle is equipped with the iconic metal MAXIM Defense SCW Gen7 Style Stock, which features a 5-position adjustable length for optimal comfort and compactness. The build is completed by a polymer pistol grip, and a full suite of metal small parts, including an ambidextrous fire selector, magazine release, trigger, and a tan-coloured charging handle. Internally and externally, the rifle utilizes durable steel components for its bolt catch, dust cover, bolt, and forward assist. A metal M-RAX hand stop is also included, mounted discreetly on the bottom of the handguard for improved control. Power is provided by a metal 30-round capacity VMAG gas magazine.
At its core, the rifle operates on the advanced VFC V3 GBB system. It features a MAXIM-licensed, lightweight aluminum bolt carrier group specifically designed to ensure a high rate of fire, offering a familiar and reliable platform for VFC AR users. Shooters can select between SAFE, SEMI, and AUTO fire modes, allowing them to fully leverage the performance of the lightweight bolt and its impressive cyclic rate.
