Real Steel Background

Bond Arms, a firearms manufacturer based in Granbury, Texas, is best known for its modern interpretation of the over-under derringer ? a compact stainless steel handgun reimagined from the Old West Remington Model 95 into a reliable modern defender. However, during SHOT Show 2019, the company's founder Gordon Bond and his team began brainstorming an ambitious question: if Bond Arms built a lever-action rifle, what modern features would they want to incorporate? That conversation evolved into the LVRB (Lever Gun) ? a rifle that shatters convention by seamlessly merging classic lever-action aesthetics with AR-15 platform modularity and performance.

The LVRB represents a ground-up reinvention of the lever-action platform. Its defining innovation is a patented short-throw lever system with a clever cam mechanism that aggressively extracts rounds from standard 30-round AR-pattern magazines ? a feat that traditional lever-action designs with tubular magazines could never achieve. The rifle utilizes a rotating bolt for strength and precision, is chambered in .223 Wylde (compatible with both .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO), and accepts standard AR-15 barrels, bolts, handguards, and magazines. By eliminating the gas system entirely, Bond Arms achieved a cleaner, more reliable action while bringing the sighting axis nearly half an inch closer to the bore for enhanced accuracy. The platform features both cross-bolt and grip safeties, a full-length Picatinny rail, and compatibility with Remington 870 and Magpul style buttstocks. First unveiled at SHOT Show 2023 and detailed further at SHOT Show 2024, represents what Bond Arms calls "the future of lever-action guns."

Product Details

Manufactured by G&G Armament, the LevAR ORO is a gas-powered lever-action airsoft rifle that captures the spirit of the Bond Arms LVRB in a striking package accented with gold-colored metal components throughout. The rifle features a 255mm M-LOK metal handguard with a full-length picatinny rail along the top for optics mounting, and sling sockets machined into both sides for versatile carry configurations. A 290mm metal outer barrel sits beneath the handguard, capped with a 75mm QDC 762 muzzle brake threaded in 14mm CCW ? providing an aggressive, modern profile and suppressor compatibility.

The upper and lower receivers are constructed from polymer, with the upper receiver carrying a picatinny rail on top for additional optic or accessory mounting. A polymer grip provides a comfortable and secure hold, while the polymer LevAR-style stock features an adjustable cheek riser for personalized eye relief, a cartridge mount holding 6 dummy cartridges, and a rubber stock pad for shoulder comfort ? the entire stock assembly is designed to mount onto the picatinny rail system. A polymer 32-round magazine feeds the rifle, providing ample capacity for sustained lever-action shooting.

The small parts package is where the ORO variant truly distinguishes itself, with a suite of gold-colored metal components that create a bold visual statement. A metal gold ambidextrous magazine release, metal gold safety, and the metal gold lever itself form the core of the lever-action operating system. Additional gold accents include the metal gold grip base plate ? which houses the gas charging port ? along with the metal gold hammer, dust cover, forward assist, and trigger. Together, these gold components create a striking contrast against the black polymer and metal body, giving the rifle a distinctive and premium appearance.

The sighting system consists of polymer removable flip-up front and rear sights equipped with fiber optic elements ? a red rod on the front sight and a green rod on the rear sight for rapid target acquisition in various lighting conditions. Notably, these flip-up sights remain functional as traditional iron sights even when in the folded-down position, providing a dual-purpose sighting solution. Operationally, the rifle is charged with gas through the port located at the grip base plate, after which the shooter pulls the lever downward to cycle the action and prepare for firing ? a mechanical ritual that delivers a satisfying and accurate shooting experience unique to the lever-action format.
