Product Description:

Real Steel Background

The Glock 34 is the long-slide, open-target sibling of the most widely used service pistol in the Western world. Where the Glock 17 is built around a 114mm barrel optimised for duty carry, the Glock 34 stretches that to a 135mm barrel and a longer 207mm slide, adding a couple of hundred metres per second at the muzzle and a noticeably longer sight radius, which makes the front sight easier to align and the hold steadier over distance. It is, in essence, a 17 re-engineered for the practical shooting sports: USPSA Production Division, IPSC Standard, IDPA, and the long slide lends itself naturally to anyone chasing a flatter, more forgiving trigger pull and a more controlled recoil arc.

The fifth generation, introduced from 2017 onwards, refined the platform rather than re-imagining it. The Gen 5 brought a thicker slide profile, the nDLC finish, a redesigned front strap without finger grooves, ambidextrous magazine release, the flared magazine well, a more aggressive grip texture, and the "Marksman Barrel" with enhanced polygonal rifling. The Glock 34 Gen 5 was a natural fit for the changes: the longer sight radius is even more useful with the new barrel and finish, and the absence of finger grooves was welcomed by shooters whose grip style the older moulded grooves did not suit.

The MOS, for Modular Optic System, is Glock's factory solution to the question every practical shooter eventually asks: how do I mount a red dot without paying a gunsmith to mill my slide? The MOS slide is factory cut for an optic plate, and Glock ships adapter plates for the most common footprints ? Trijicon RMR, Docter, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, C-More STS, and others ? so the user bolts on the plate that matches their chosen red dot, drops the optic in, and tightens it down. The iron sights remain on the slide as backup, fitted with co-witness height so the dot and the posts are visible together. For competition shooters the MOS removed the only reason not to move a Glock onto a red dot, and the Glock 34 Gen 5 MOS became one of the most popular open-class and carry-optics pistols in the sport.

Product Details

Umarex, working through GHK's gas blowback platform, reproduces the Glock 34 Gen 5 MOS as a CNC-machined aluminium slide pistol finished in Cerakote, with the controls and sights that define the Gen 5 pattern. The result is a long-slide GBB built around real weight at the top end and a polymer lower frame that matches the original Gen 5 furniture.

The slide is aluminium, 207mm long, finished in Cerakote, and engraved with the "Glock 34 Gen 5" marking. It is factory-cut for the Modular Optic System and ships with an MOS plate, so a red dot can be mounted directly on the slide the way it can be on the real MOS pistol, using a standard adapter plate matched to the chosen optic. The barrel is metal, 135mm long, and engraved with the "Glock" marking ? the long barrel that gives the 34 its flatter trajectory and longer sight radius compared with a 17. The frame is polymer in the Gen 5 pattern and carries an integrated lower accessory rail, so a weapon light or laser can be mounted under the dust cover for low-light and home-defence roles. Feeding comes from a metal gas magazine with a polymer base plate, holding 25 rounds, and engraved with the "Glock" marking on its shell.

The small-parts set follows the Gen 5 layout. The trigger is polymer with an integrated trigger safety blade in the centre, delivering the familiar safe-action pull that the platform is known for. The magazine release is polymer, the slide catch is steel, and the sights are the standard Glock pattern: a white-dot front sight paired with a U-notch rear sight, both ready for a co-witness with a red dot on the MOS plate.

Internally, the pistol is set up with an adjustable hop-up system for precise trajectory tuning, so the shooter can dial in the backspin to suit 6mm BB weight and the engagement range. That adjustment is what makes a 135mm-barrelled GBB genuinely useful beyond short indoor distances: the long barrel only delivers flatter trajectory if the hop is matched to the BB, and the adjustment lets the user find that match.

Key Features

  • Faithful gas blowback replica of the Glock 34 Gen 5 MOS, the long-slide competition variant of the Glock 17 with a factory-cut optic mounting system
  • CNC-machined aluminium 207mm slide providing the rigidity, weight, and realistic finish expected of a serious GBB pistol
  • Cerakote slide finish delivering a hard-wearing and uniform surface across the slide's exterior
  • Engraved "Glock 34 Gen 5" marking on the slide, completing the factory-correct receiver detailing
  • Modular Optic System slide cut with MOS plate included, allowing a red dot to be mounted directly using a standard adapter plate matched to the chosen optic
  • Metal 135mm outer barrel engraved with the "Glock" marking, reproducing the long barrel that gives the 34 its flatter trajectory and longer sight radius
  • Polymer Gen 5 style frame, matching the redesigned front strap without finger grooves and the Gen 5 grip pattern
  • Integrated lower accessory rail on the frame, providing a mounting surface for weapon lights, lasers, and other underbarrel accessories
  • Metal 25-round gas magazine with a polymer base plate, holding a useful round count in a magazine that carries the correct Glock silhouette
  • Engraved "Glock" marking on the magazine shell, matching the original's factory marking
  • Polymer trigger with integrated trigger safety, delivering the familiar safe-action pull that the Glock platform is known for
  • White-dot front sight providing a bright and quickly acquired aiming point under the optic
  • U-notch rear sight working with the front post to deliver the classic Glock sight picture
  • Steel slide catch giving a positive and durable hold-open and release function through repeated cycling
  • Polymer magazine release matching the Gen 5 layout and giving smooth, repeatable magazine drops
  • Adjustable hop-up system allowing precise trajectory tuning to suit 6mm BB weight and engagement range
  • Iron sights set at co-witness height so the red dot on the MOS plate and the backup iron sights are visible together
