Product Description:

Real Steel Background

The 416 is a German assault rifle that set out to answer a simple question: what would the M4 carbine look like if it were built to Hecklee er & Koc hh's standards of reliability? Hecklee er & Koc hh began the project in the late 1990s, working with U.S. special operations units that wanted the familiar AR-15 ergonomics and controls without the direct-impingement gas system's well-known weaknesses ? the fouling, the heat, and the sensitivity to short barrels and suppressors. The company's answer was to replace direct impingement with a short-stroke gas piston derived from the G36, driving an operating rod that cycles the bolt carrier while keeping hot gas and carbon out of the receiver. The result was introduced in 2004?2005 and originally sold as the M4, before a trademark dispute with Colt led to the "416" name ? a nod to both the M4 and the M16. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and feeds from STANAG-pattern magazines, and it pairs a free-floating handguard with a continuous top rail for optics and accessories. Testing and operational feedback showed markedly improved reliability and a longer service life over the standard M4, and the rifle went on to be adopted by elite units and national armies alike: U.S. Delta Force and DEVGRU, the Norwegian Army, the U.S. Marine Corps in the form of the M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle, and later the German Bundeswehr and the French Army, among many others. The 416 has since become one of the defining service rifles of the modern era and one of the most recognisable AR-derived designs in military service, film, and video games.

Product Details

E&C, a manufacturer known for its affordable AR-platform AEGs, delivers the 416D as a full-metal electric replica of the rifle that has become a benchmark for modern special-operations carbines. Built around the company's new 2.0 V2 gearbox, the rifle pairs metal construction with a quick-change spring system and easy access to the internals, giving players a practical platform that is straightforward to upgrade and tune.

Externally, the rifle is built around a metal receiver paired with a metal 230mm free-float handguard, with a metal 245mm outer barrel finished by a 45mm muzzle brake, giving it the clean, uninterrupted rail line and purposeful proportions of the original design. Furniture is polymer: a 416-style stock fitted with a rubber stock pad, polymer sling loops on both sides, and a six-position stock pipe, joined by a polymer pistol grip for a comfortable and secure hold. Feeding comes from a metal housing magazine holding 300 rounds, giving the rifle the sustained capacity expected of a support-oriented carbine.

The control set is executed entirely in metal: a metal curved trigger housed within a metal trigger guard, a metal fire selector, a metal bolt catch, a metal magazine release, and a metal charging handle, joined by a metal sling swivel end plate mounted at the rear of the receiver. The sights are metal as well ? removable and adjustable 416-style front and rear units that can be taken off when an optic is fitted and dialled in for elevation and windage. A metal gas block with gas tube completes the barrel furniture.

Internally, the rifle is electrically powered, with the battery housed in the stock. It runs E&C's new 2.0 V2 gearbox, engineered to give easier access to the gearbox internals for upgrades and routine maintenance. Servicing is further simplified by the QD system providing quick-change spring access, so the main spring can be swapped without a full teardown to meet different field power limits. A functional charging mock bolt plate pulls back to give fast, easy access to the hop-up adjustment, letting the shooter tune backspin without disassembling the rifle. The combination of full-metal construction, high-capacity magazine, tool-free hop-up access, and an upgrade-friendly 2.0 V2 gearbox makes the E&C 416D a capable and practical AEG for players who want the H 416 look with genuine day-to-day serviceability.
