CO2 Airsoft Pistol Collection - eHobbyAsia Airsoft

"Co2 Airsoft Pistols: Power in your hands."

CO2 airsoft pistols are powered by a removable CO2 cartridge usually based in the magazine. CO2 offers higher pressure than green gas, giving greater power but also allows for stable operation in colder weather.  Like gas airsoft guns, CO2 guns can shoot either semi-auto or full-auto and can be either have a non-blowback (NBB) or gas blowback style (GBB) of action. The most popular brands for CO2 pistols include Gun Heaven and KWC.

How does a CO2 airsoft pistol work?

CO2 airsoft pistols are powered by compressed carbon dioxide cartridges located in the gun’s magazine. When the shooter pulls the trigger he releases a hammer that strikes the gas release on the magazine or revolver’s firing pin which releases the CO2 and directs it to a nozzle to propel the airsoft BB out the gun and move the slide if it is a GBB. It is important to note that CO2 offers higher pressure than green gas, giving greater power but also allows for stable operation in colder weather. It must however be noted that there is a small risk of serious malfunction with CO2 guns due to the extreme pressure of the CO2 cartridges.

How long does CO2 last in airsoft pistol?

All magazine fed CO2 airsoft guns are designed to be able to fire at least the entire magazine with just one CO2 cartridge, around 30 rounds. For non magazine fed CO2 guns, the number of shots can vary significantly depending on whether the gun is blowback or not. For gas blowback guns this could be 40 shots whilst on non blow back guns the number of shots fired from one cartridge could exceed 100. In addition, it is not recommended to leave a CO2 cartridge inside the gun for an extended period of time as the high pressure of the CO2 could eventually blow out the seals resulting in leakage. Ensure that after every game you use up all the gas in your CO2 cartridge and carefully remove it before storing your gun.

What is the best co2 airsoft pistol?

Overall we recommend the SIG AIR M17 CO2 pistol by VFC which combines the best build quality and ingame performance, however it is also important to note that there are a huge number of airsoft pistol platforms out there that each with their unique features and advantages. Ultimately finding out what is best for you is dependent on a combination of assessing the rifle’s shooting performance, reliability, internal and external build quality, value and collectability.
