The War Hawk is one of those signature models, born out of a collaboration with pistol instructor and competitive shooter Travis Haley. It is built on a Commander-length platform, which means a slightly shorter slide and a 4.25-inch barrel rather than the Government's 5 inches, and a Government-length grip frame so the magazine capacity stays at full size. The War Hawk's defining visual is its compensator cut into the front of the slide: a set of angled ports that vent gas upward to hold the muzzle flat under rapid fire, paired with a cocking serrations treatment that wraps the slide front and rear.
