Product Description:

Novritsch, the Vienna-based company founded and run by passionate airsofters, brings that modernised Kalashnikov into the electric airsoft world with the SSR74. This is the Long Version, built around a stamped steel receiver and riveted trunions rather than the pot-metal construction often found at this level, and designed from the ground up to be rigid, upgradeable, and practical in the field. Where the Short Version trades away barrel length for maximum compactness, the Long Version keeps the same platform and the same rock-solid construction but pairs it with a substantially longer barrel, giving the shooter more reach and a longer sight radius to work with ? a better fit for open fields and longer engagement distances, while the folding stock still keeps transport manageable.

An AK should feel solid, and the SSR74 is built accordingly. Solid steel runs throughout the rifle ? the stamped steel receiver, the riveted front and rear trunnions, the dust cover, and the muzzle brake ? and that steel is backed by reinforced internals, giving the rifle the weight, durability, and realism expected of a modern AK platform. An expansion barrel pin tensions the barrel into the receiver to secure it firmly, and the one-piece CNC handguard leaves no room for wobble, so the front end stays rigid no matter what is mounted to it.

Rigidity extends to the sighting solution as well. The dust cover rail is hinged to prevent movement and holds zero, so an optic can be mounted and forgotten; for those who prefer to run irons, or who need a back-up when an optic's battery dies, minimalistic iron sights are integrated into the top rail. The handguard carries multiple mounting options on all sides for accessories, and QD sling points sit on both sides of the stock, with further QD attachment points available for the handguard.

The hop-up has been given the update the platform long deserved. A rotary TDC wheel allows precise adjustment and is numbered so the shooter can note and return to a setting, and the rifle ships with a Flat Hop infinite bucking tuned for heavy BBs. Because that bucking has no anti-rotation rim or nub, its working life can be considerably extended simply by rotating it.

Inside, the rifle is pre-upgraded with tried and tested components. A compression assembly pairs a CNC aluminium nozzle with CNC aluminium piston and cylinder heads and a ported stainless steel cylinder, while 16:1 CNC steel gears driven by a high torque motor deliver a snappy trigger response. The programmable electronic trigger unit offers five levels of pre-cocking, binary, three-round burst, and full auto, configurable through the trigger itself by following the programming guide, and it has been fine-tuned for short trigger travel so every shot feels like a natural movement. The slim ergonomic grip supports that feel. On an 11.1V battery the rifle cycles at roughly 23 rounds per second.

Practicality in the field has clearly been a priority. The spring can be exchanged in under two minutes simply by taking the stock off, with no need to dismantle the whole replica ? even between games. The extended battery compartment takes long batteries, accepting an 11.1V 1650mAh pack and keeping the battery secure when the dust cover is opened. The standard 200-round mid-cap magazine carries a substantial load, and a drum magazine is available for anyone who wants more. Reloads are helped along by an angled trigger guard that guides the magazine towards the magazine release. The rifle ships with a folding stock ? solid, rubberized, and minimalist ? that folds for transport and offers three height positions; the stock attachment point is Picatinny, so an alternative stock of your choice, including a buffer tube conversion, can be fitted instead.

The Long Version measures 87.6cm unfolded and 65.2cm folded, weighs 3.36kg without a magazine, and runs a 390mm inner barrel of 6.03mm diameter with a 14mm CCW thread at the muzzle. Behind it sits a Vienna-based technical support team with all spare parts readily available.
