First Glock Gen5 MOS Loadout: Magazines, Green Gas vs CO2, and Optic Plates
Quick answer: After the pistol, buy one spare magazine whose listing names that pistol, then green gas the pistol page allows, and 0.25g 6mm BBs. VFC Gen5 MOS listings are tagged Green Gas / Top Gas. Use a CO2 magazine only when its own title names your pistol. Do not fill a green-gas magazine with CO2.
Pick the pistol first in the Gen5 MOS Buyer's Guide. OEM: Tokyo Marui vs VFC. Size: G19 vs G45 vs G47.
1. Magazine: use the fitment line
- VFC 22rd: the title names Glock G17 Gen5 and G45. The description also names G17 Gen3, Gen4 and Gen5, plus G19 Gen3/Gen4 or 19X. It does not name G19 Gen5 or G47. Do not buy it for those two from this page.
- VFC 20rd for Glock 19 Gen5: this is the dedicated Gen5 G19 magazine. It had no inventory on 3 November 2026. Check the product page.
- VFC G19 20rd without Gen5 in the fitment line: the listing says G19 Gen3/Gen4 only. Not a Gen5 MOS spare.
- SRC 18rd G17 Gen5: that title names SRC. It is not a VFC spare.
- GHK: no spare magazine listing reviewed for this page names the GHK Gen5 MOS. Do not substitute a VFC magazine.
If the magazine title does not name your pistol, it is not the spare.
2. Green gas and CO2
The VFC G19, G45 and G47 Gen5 MOS listings are tagged Green Gas / Top Gas. RWA Green Gas is the green gas can in stock here. Use it only if the pistol page allows green gas.
The Reload 22rd CO2 magazine title names VFC Glock 17. It does not name G19, G45 or G47. Confirm that title against your pistol before you order it. Do not put CO2 cartridges in a magazine the listing calls a green-gas magazine.
Gas types, without a Gen5 fitment claim, are in Green Gas vs CO2 and Dual-Power Airsoft Pistols.
3. Optic plates
The VFC G19 and G45 listings say the pistol includes the MOS and four optic plates. The G47 listing says it is supplied with four optics plates for Vortex, Trijicon, C-More and Leupold footprints. Match the plate to the optic you already own.
The Crusader adapter title names VFC G17 Gen5 MOS and an ACRO footprint. It does not name G19, G45 or G47. Buy it only for the pistol that title names.
